Barbara Phillips, Propagation Specialist

Barbara studied Landscape Architecture at UC Berkeley Extension and Landscape Horticulture at Merritt College, Oakland. She is a member of the California Native Plant Society and a member of CHIA, a community garden based group responsible for the Ohlone Greenway Natural and Cultural Project in west Berkeley. Since 2004 she has cultivated her own beautifully landscaped native garden. Barbara is recently retired after a successful career with the University of California, Berkeley and is now happily occupied with the things she loves most, including propagating, creating gardens and studying California native plants.

Now at The Watershed Nursery, Barbara manages the vegetative propagation production. She sees her association with the Watershed Nursery as a wonderfully serendipitous convergence of her interests and interests of others who are also concerned with the health and integrity of our natural environment.
